The family Brun, surely is highly skilled wine maker, but grower in her soul for generations (at least back to the French revolution), because of her visceral love of the birthplace of champagne religion.
Barrel and red winemaker family in the XIXth century, Roger Brun great grand father learnt the art of champagne making while working for MOËT & CHANDON in the early 1900s during phylloxera crisis and the family’s passion for champagne has been going on ever since.
This local family has reached around 120 members in the beginning of XXth and generated 3 brands known for their know-how, EDOUARD the great uncle of RENE the father of ROGER BRUN.
Philippe know to disgorge a bottle by hand since he was 7 and had to do it down cellars or in the vineyards when he was escaping grandmother with his handicap grandfather who wanted a drink out of her sight. So he will remember the smells of vineyards, vine, yeast forever.
As the first born his way was written but he graduated production and mechanical engineer and started a career in industry. Aer producing weapons, windows, fridges, he became industrial manager of a well-known outdoor and textile group but he resigned when his daughter was born same time as Roger wanted to stop.
It was his time to adapt Brun’s tradition and knowledge to the 21st century.
